It is also great to have guest lecture Caroline (who has years of buying experience) here for this unit, as her knowledge and experience is just what I need to point me in the right direction.
If I am serious about becoming a buyer, for this unit I need to show that I've got what it takes and the right skills and knowledge needed to become a buyer and so I can present it in my portfolio.
Out of the whole year, I think I am pretty much the only person doing this type of project, however I feel more confident knowing that I have an industry expert on hand to help guide me and make my project as professional and realistic to industry as possible.
I have found this great book in the library all about fashion buying, so it will definitely become my bible for this project, as it is really up-to-date and has lots of useful case studies.
